Phil & Evelyn's Special Greek Wedding In Ithaca
In June '24, we took an unprecedented step by closing the shop for a few weeks to attend a truly special occasion—the wedding of Debbie's son, Philip, in Ithaca, Greece. It was a deeply meaningful trip, as Theo introduced his family to the island where our mother, Nina, was born in 1934. Her heritage brought the family closer together, and Theo & Abbie's sons instantly felt a deep connection to their newfound ancestry. It was a significant and unforgettable moment in our lives, one we will always cherish.
Debbie wanted to share with her nephews, Nicholas & Harry, all the things about Ithaca that have brought her family so much joy over the years. She introduced them to the family tradition of visiting the Monastery lookout, where each year, without fail, they jump—and always make sure to have a little fun in the process.
In the main photo, Evelyn and Phil are standing outside the family home in Ithaca, the birthplace of Phil’s grandmother. Although he only knew her for two short years, Phil felt a deep connection to her legacy, choosing to honor it in this meaningful way.
